RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Supply Chain efforts with Production and R & D teams.

  • Support Make/Buy decision on Metallic Raw Materials supporting Firefly’s Machine Shop, Production Departments, R&D group, and Launch/Spacecraft Programs.

  • Manage the selection process for suppliers in an R & D and production environment.

  • Own the supplier selection process for new suppliers in R & D and production.

  • Support (TCO) cost savings efforts for R&D and production.

  • Help resolve risk issues from long lead, raw material, capacity, sole source, and other constraints that arise within the Supply Chain.

  • Follow Corporate Procurement Practices and Procedures when making decisions concerning negotiating, sourcing, and contracting for all goods and services purchased for the plant.

  • Compare quotes against requirements and budgetary compliance.

  • Align R & D and production efforts with AVL (Approved Vendor List) data and compliance.

  • Handle communications and negotiations with vendors and suppliers while ensuring all quality standards are met.

  • Drive schedule recovery and corrective action.

  • Analyze supply chain data and performance to improve productivity and efficiency while reducing costs.

  • Assist with a wide array of additional functions as necessary within a rapid growth R&D environment.

  • Review business aspects of requisition and provide advice as subject matter expert.

  • Manage, audit and select suppliers to achieve Firefly objectives.

  • Assist requisitioners in selecting suppliers that align and comply with Firefly ASL/AVL. (Approved Supplier/Vendor list)

  • Work with Finance to ensure that contracts align with Federal, State and Local laws.

  • Ensure minimum stock volumes for raw materials are maintained.

  • Act as liaison between stakeholders such as the Purchasing Team, Finance, Sales, Engineering, Systems, etc.

  • Help develop processes for MRO/Indirect spend that leverage Firefly Policies and Best Practices.

  • Own and manage supplier set-up activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • 5+ years of experience managing supplier relationships and contracts
  • Extensive knowledge of metallic stock, alloys, and coatings used in the aerospace industry
  • R & D experience
  • BA, BS in related field
  • Great project management and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to back up conclusions with data
  • Time management skills, with the ability to separate the important tasks from the noise
  • Sense of urgency, with the ability to work well under pressure
  • MS Office (including Excel, Word & Outlook)
  • Software operation and data entry skills
  • Proficiency to analyze quotes to determine the overall best offer for a product/service; including supplier past performance, capability, capacity, and financial stability
  • Experience with Service Contracts, State Tax Schedule, Facilities contracts, consumables, Contractors, sub-contractors, etc.
  • Possess a valid “Real ID” driver’s license, and clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass Air Force background checks
  • Physical stamina to perform regular duties, including
    • o Lift, push, or pull at least 50 pounds
    • o Stand for long periods of time
    • o Crouch, bend, and reach

Desired

  • Finance Background/Education.
  • Odoo ERP/MRP knowledge.
  • ITAR experience.
  • Aerospace Industry experience
  • Experience in R&D, Proto-typing and test environment a plus.
  • Experience in AS9100 environment
