This position will sit out of our Rocket Ranch in Briggs, Texas.
SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Facilities Planner to support CAPEX initiatives, maintenance, and facility planning across all Texas sites. The ideal candidate excels in budget-tracking, cross-functional collaboration, and efficient coordination of purchasing, scheduling, and logistics in regulated, technical environments.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating work across maintenance, repairs, operations, and construction for all three Texas locations.
- Manage day-to-day purchasing activities, including MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) items, purchase requisition (PR) creation, open order tracking, expediting, and past-due order resolution.
- Own the quote-to-invoice process: request and evaluate quotes, ensure proper documentation, and reconcile invoices to contract terms.
- Track and monitor facilities-related spend against budget; support reporting of actuals vs. forecast and help identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Support Facilities Managers with scheduling, coordination, and execution of assigned tasks and projects.
- Provide administrative and logistical support to the Facilities Operations and Maintenance Team; coordinate with subcontractors as needed.
- Oversee all heavy equipment rentals across sites, including rental agreements, PO management, equipment servicing, and returns.
- Ensure all materials and equipment are available and on-site in time for scheduled work.
- Respond to internal customer inquiries and concerns; assign Facilities JIRA tickets to appropriate team members and ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Set up new vendors and suppliers for the Facilities department.
- Serve as a liaison between Facilities, Purchasing, Finance, and other internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and timely updates regarding material deliveries and project needs.
- Ensure suppliers meet company quality and compliance standards, including proper documentation and selection protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- 5–10 years of experience managing supplier relationships and contracts.
- ERP/MRP system experience (e.g., Odoo or similar).
- Experience using Smartsheet, Confluence, and Jira in a project or operations environment.
- Strong sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize and respond to internal needs effectively.
- Proven experience working cross-functionally and communicating across all organizational levels.
- Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Desired
- College Degree preferred.
- ITAR/Aerospace experience.
- Construction management experience
- Experience in AS9100 environment a plus.
