SUMMARY


As a Firefly Marketing Intern, you will support the overall brand vision of the company by assisting with the creation of marketing assets. Prefer someone proficient in Microsoft application, social and digital media, writing and editing. This intern will report directly to the Senior Marketing and Communications Manager.

The ideal candidate for our Marketing team will have a creative/communication focus, and possess knowledge in specific areas such community relations with a focus on Science, Technology, Math and Engineering (STEM) as well as the ability to develop social media assets. You will have the opportunity gain valuable experience and walk away with an excellent portfolio of work. This position requires a high level of creativity, flexibility, and collaboration. The ability to communicate effectively within a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural group and a can-do attitude is an absolute must.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organize and manage community relations strategy
  • Help create and implement social media strategy
  • Assist in the coordination of events
  • Develop and edit communication and marketing products

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Must be currently enrolled in either a BA or MA program (or a recent graduate) at an accredited four-year university or college.
  • Willing to work onsite at our facilities in Central Texas, in a hands-on, fast paced environment.
  • Detail orientated, managing multiple priorities while maintaining focus towards a common goal
  • Communicates effectively, verbal and written
  • Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks

To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
