SUMMARY

Composite Technician III is a senior-level, hands-on role responsible for executing complex composite fabrication builds and supporting production efficiency and quality initiatives.

This role supports the manufacturing of primary structures, propellant tanks, and secondary hardware and serves as a technical resource to junior technicians. Location: Briggs, TX (north of Cedar Park)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead fabrication of complex aerospace-grade composite structures
  • Execute advanced layups and structural builds with minimal supervision
  • Perform advanced vacuum bagging and cure cycle operations
  • Identify scarf back plies and perform structural repairs
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing discrepancies and support root cause analysis
  • Interpret complex engineering drawings and work instructions
  • Ensure AS9100 material handling compliance
  • Mentor and support development of junior technicians
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality and efficiency
  • Support engineering in tooling and manufacturability discussions
  • Maintain shop organization and PPE compliance

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of composite manufacturing experience (aerospace preferred)
  • Advanced expertise in layup, bonding, and cure processes
  • Demonstrated ability to build flight-critical or high-complexity hardware
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and meticulous craftsmanship
  • Proficient with pneumatic tools, power tools, and precision measurement equipment
  • Experience in AS9100 or similarly regulated environment
  • Proven ability to mentor junior team members
