Position Summary

Firefly Aerospace is hiring across a variety of hourly manufacturing and technical roles supporting production, fabrication, assembly, and operations at our Briggs, TX facility.

Successful candidates will work hands-on with aerospace hardware, supporting the build and testing of launch vehicles and spacecraft systems in a collaborative and high-performance environment.

We are looking for individuals who take pride in their craftsmanship, attention to detail, and ability to work as part of a team building flight hardware.

• CNC Machinists
• Orbital Welders
• Aerospace Technicians
• Composite Technicians
• Mechanical Assembly Technicians
• Quality Inspectors
• Materials / Inventory Specialists
• Test Technicians
• Production Technicians
• Machine Operators
• Fabrication Technicians


Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities may vary by role but typically include:

• Perform hands-on manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, or machining of aerospace components
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, work instructions, and technical specifications
• Operate production equipment, tools, and machinery safely and efficiently
• Maintain quality standards and follow inspection procedures
• Support testing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving activities
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams
• Follow all safety and compliance requirements

Basic Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing, aerospace, machining, fabrication, or technical environment
• Ability to read engineering drawings or technical work instructions
• Experience with precision tools, machinery, or assembly equipment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required (technical training preferred)

Preferred Experience

• Aerospace or space industry experience
• CNC machining (mills, lathes, 5-axis)
• Orbital welding or precision welding
• Composite layup or carbon fiber manufacturing
• Mechanical assembly or integration
• Quality inspection or metrology
• Experience with aerospace materials (titanium, Inconel, aluminum, composites)

Additional Requirements

• Must meet ITAR compliance requirements (U.S. Person status required)
• Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs depending on role
• Ability to work in a production or shop environment
